Rental Information

There are opportunities for many different activities to be held at the Tolland County Agricultural Center.

Activities Building:

Our activities building (yellow) is available for large meetings and seminars. There is a certified kitchen as part of this building also available for rent. There are steel chairs and tables available  included with the use of the building. Details as follows: 
 

  • 40 ft wide x 100 ft long

  • Tile floor

  • Tables for meetings and meals available

  • Folding chairs 

  • Seated capacity without tables - 200

  • Men and women bathrooms in building

Open to the Public - Nature Trail

The area that is near the pond and brook are available for individuals to use as hiking and viewing the gardens. There is no rental of this area.

Elliot Office Meeting Room

This room can be used for meetings, parties, or showers.

  • The room comes with foldable tables and stacking chairs

  • 35' long x 24' wide

  • carpeted meeting room with adjacent kitchen. Kitchen is 20' long by 16' wide

  • Guest link for Wi-Fi

  • Seated capacity is for 60 people (row seating, without tables)

  • Capacity with tables and chairs is 50


 

Large Buildings:

We have 2 large buildings (40 x100 green and 40 x 120 red) for rent.

The green barn has a full concrete floor and...

  • is 120' long x 48' wide

  • has 6 large overhead doors

  • 2 pass doors on east and west sides of building

  • incandescent lighting 

  • steel panel construction 

  • concrete floor

The red barn​​ has a show ring (dirt floor with sawdust) in about ½ of the building.

  • 50' wide x 105' long 

  • sliding door north, west, south sides of buildings 

  • 3 pass doors, 1 each on north, south, and east sides of buildings 

  • incandescent lighting

  • Steel panel construction 

  • North end (approx 50' is a mix of sand and shavings for use as a show ring)

  • South end (approx 55') is concrete


We have had antiques shows, horse, goat and cattle shows and we have hosted the Connecticut Sheep Breeders spring show for many years.

Niederwerfer Building

  • 42' wide x 48' long

  • Sliding doors on both ends of the building 

  • 1 pass door in east side of the building

  • Incandescent lighting 

  • Fold up windows for ventilation

Horse Show Rings: 

There are 2 horse show rings available with offices for horse shows.

  • Rings are 40' x 120' and 50' x 100'

  • wooden fences with gates

  • Fully grass mowed weekly 

  • Booths are located adjacent to each ring

Important Considerations

  • The grounds may be rented with no buildings or with a building to suit your needs.
     

  • There are bathroom facilities in the gold building that are available year round and we have a large outdoor toilet facility adjacent to the red and green barn.
     

  • There is electrical service in all buildings, hot and cold water in the 2 restrooms and public water on the grounds. The water system is protected by a back-flow prevention system. 
     

  • Please make sure to read the rules and regulations before submitting applications.
